Forge Engine turns long-form videos into vertical clips, ready for LinkedIn, TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Paste a YouTube link or upload a file directly. If you’re stuck, this page covers the basics. For anything else, email usand we’ll help.
Getting started
How do I generate my first clip?
Paste a YouTube URL on the new job pageand click Generate. You’ll be asked to sign in (or create a free account) so we can save your history and apply what we’ve learned about the channel to the next run.
Can I upload a file instead of linking YouTube?
Yes. On the new job page, switch to the Upload filetab. We support MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, and AVI up to 2 GB. Uploads stream straight to our storage, so your file is never buffered on our servers and large recordings don’t time out.
Why do I need an account?
Two reasons: your jobs are tied to you (nobody else can see them), and our channel memory system gets better every time you rate a clip.
Clips & editing
The crop on one of my clips looks off. Can I fix it?
Yes. Open the clip from your job page and use the editor to nudge the horizontal crop scene-by-scene. Saving re-renders the clip. When you mark a crop as good or bad, the system learns from it and biases future clips on that channel the same way.
How do I download clips?
From any clip card click Export. You can also multi-select clips and bulk-download. Files are delivered through short-lived signed URLs straight from our storage, so your media stays private and downloads don’t slow down.
Limits
Each account is rate-limited for fairness. If you hit a daily job cap, the UI will tell you when you can create another.
